Day Five
What was estimated as taking a day will now take three.
Today the soil was tested using berilum and cesium. The berilum calculates the hydrogen thus telling you the amount of water in the soil. The cesium tells the density by MAGIC.
Now there is fill being trucked in.
Apparently the "native material" (the stuff from our site) would have been p e r f e c t material for which to build a rammed earth home. Imagine: material to build a house on your land. No trucking in of tyvek from the nation state of Tyveckia. Nope, none of it. Dig hole, use soil. Simple.
We started late too, as the plate tamper was being fixed. An hour here, an hour there--that's the magic.
The electricity arrived as well. That took about 3 hours.
Tomorow there will be more compacting.
