Day Seven

Not production but accumulation was the order of the day.

First: Plywood for footings.

Just as all parts of the animal must be eaten, wood products (which come from a living, conscious, sentient being) should absolutely be used and re-used.

These came from the scrap yard (the s is silent) of a large construction company in the area. These were obtained at a deep discount.

Second: 2" x 6" x 12' lumber for footings and later for 2nd story framing inshallah.

These were made and sold by (one) person with whom I shook hands. Not a gigantic conglomerate. One man, one mill, one tree. Cool, and by cool I mean cooling to an economy that is burbling out of control unequally. No truck to schlep it all over creation, no air-conditioned big box blight for it to live. A simple, cash transaction conducted between two humans in a beautiful setting.

And they were cheaper than at the big box stores.

3. Rainbows
