An auspicious day? We sure hope so. The pouring of a foundation is a heavy event. Hopefully by now you've all at least attempted to make it through The Secret Architecture of Our Nation's Capital by David Ovason. A brief quote if I may:

and then sprays the concrete into the form through a hose.
Quite a thing hold that big ol' hose, (I'll leave it at that...)
