06/09/06 Friday, day 22, beginning of week 4
Progress you can see.
Perimeter drain done. The engineer said we didn't have to put a drain on the east side. The perimeter drain is in the shape of the letter "U". Dual Exhaust, sort of.

Inside of footing? Insulated!

We now must fill in the footing. We're using 2" minus.
Look at how different the 2" minus looks. Those would make two very different looking rammed earth walls (not that you use 2" minus, but you get the point.) We aspire to make a front retaining wall with each lift come from a different pit.

All rocks are beautiful, but the stones in the 2" minus are outstanding. This area has some heavy geology happening.

Can't a man use a 1000lb plate tamper with out a belt breaking?

Maybe it was etheric energy that caused the machine to stop working.

Jim was an all star once again, this time on the Bobcat.

Tomorrow will (hopefully) be a loud day. It would be pretty slick to get the inside of the footing filled in. After that, the outside will be brought to grade. Even more rocks.
