3 x 10

Day 30.

No material today. Maybe monday. Sadly, we won't get to use these this weekend.

China, we couldn't do it without you!

But every front has a back, and the cheaper the front the cheaper the back. It's true what they say--you get what you pay for.

It's worth noting that the brand name of these Chinese made clamps (correct construction shown on the right above) is "Pittsburgh."

Regardless, the pipe clamps got made. Now we just need 32' more and we'll have enough.

Our friend Bob Cat didn't want to wake up this morning. He's going to (hopefully) get a stern talking to by our machinist and mechanical genuis friend Jim. Lucky for Mr. Bob Cat that Jim is working on Joe's deck. Hopefully we'll get some photos of Joe's scene, as it is simply amazing. Joe has transformed the most, uh, um, ideosyncratic lot in town in to something quite spectacular. Not one inch of that land is wasted. Joe is from Hungary. Joe is old school. Jim said Joe starts working usually around 4:30 or 5:00 am and goes until, well, until the job is done. Every day. To us he always says "house done yet?"

We are soft.
